Sabarimala temple closed

PATHANAMTHITTA: The Ayyappa temple at Sabarimala was closed after Athazhapuja on Saturday evening, marking the culmination of the five-day rituals in the Malayalam month of Kumbhom.

Hundreds of devotees from different parts of South India witnessed the Laksharchana and Sahasrakalasom rituals held at Sannidhanam on Saturday.

Tantri Kandararu Rajeevaru, assisted by Melsanthi E. Eeswaran Namboodiri, performed Brahmakalasapuja prior to Utchapuja. Mr. Rajeevaru led the Laksharchana ritual in the forenoon.
