Eleventh Plan to be finalised

Puducherry: Chief Minister N. Rangasamy will hold talks with Deputy Chairman of Planning Commission Montek Singh Ahluwalai in New Delhi on Monday to decide the size of the XI Five-Year Plan and first year (2007-2008) of the Five-Year Plan for the Union Territory.

Chief Secretary Pradip Mehra, Secretary to Planning and Finance A.K. Chaturvedi. and Director of Planning and Research Department M. Sreedharan besides Private Secretary to the Chief Minister Gopalan and Officer on Special Duty Emil Ranjit would accompany him, an official release said on Saturday. The Planning Board here recommended that the Centre earmarked Rs.10,000 crore for XI Plan and Rs.1,600 crore for the Annual Plan.
