NEW DELHI: Viswanathan Anand will take on the top seeded Bulgarian Veselin Topalov in the opening round of the Linares-Morelia chess tournament at Morelia, Mexico. This will be second clash between the two leading players in the world in less than a month. On January 21, in the eighth round of the Corus tournament at Wijk aan Zee, Topalov had won with white pieces. The draw for the first seven rounds of this premier event was made during the inaugural function on Friday. The rest days are February 20 and 23. The second leg will be played in Linares from February 25. Anand, who starts with black pieces, will play alternate colours in the rounds to follow against Peter Svidler (Russia), Magnus Carlsen (Norway), Alexander Morozevich (Russia), Levon Aronian (Armenia), Vassily Ivanchuk (Ukraine) and Peter Leko (Hungary).
