Cable technician commits sucide

VIJAYAWADA : B. Prasad, a technician with a private cable network, allegedly committed suicide by consuming pesticide mixed with alcohol on Friday night. The police said the death was reported on Saturday morning.

Machavaram SI R. Govindarajulu said Prasad, aged 28, was a native of Hanuman Nagar in Rajahmundry and he came here seven years ago. The exact reason behind his extreme step was yet to be identified.

He was not known to have the habit of consuming alcohol though he took pesticide mixed with alcohol.

Prasad did not have any personal accommodation and he used to work and stay at the cable office at Ashoknagar. A case was booked and investigation is on.
