Bangalore: Talk of a big heart! The former Indian tennis ace Vijay Amritraj certainly has it. Vijay has been a multifaceted personality in world tennis as a brand ambassador for the U.N., a former president of the ATP Men's Tour, and of course one of the best players that country has produced. He showed his humaneness by presenting a cheque of $10,000 to Bangalore-based Mitra Jyothi, run by Madhu Singhal here on Saturday. Mitra Jyothi is charitable trust which works for the visually impaired persons in the State. Ms. Madhu herself is visually challenged person.

Mr. Amritraj, after presenting the cheque on behalf of Vijay Amritraj Foundation, said, "I had the privilege of visiting Mithra Jyothi here and I am impressed with the work done by trust and I understand that they wish to build a building and I hope my little contribution would help in their cause."

Ms. Madhu thanked Mr. Amritraj for his gesture.
