BANGALORE: Thousands of Wipro staff celebrated the "Living the Winning Culture" at the grand finale of their annual event "Sparks 2007" at Kanteerava Stadium, which was witnessed by their chairman Azim Premji and former cricketer Kapil Dev. The programme was compered by Mandira Bedi.

The entire stadium was filled with Wipro employees who were encouraging their colleagues taking part in the finals of the quiz being conducted by cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle.

Though giant screens at the stadium did display the questions, they were hardly readable. But that did not deter the enthusiasm of the crowds. They clapped and encouraged the teams.

Wipro staff from Chennai won the quiz while the Kozhikode and Bangalore teams took the second and third places respectively.

Mr. Premji, who made a brief speech, said there was more to winning than mere winning.

It was the culture of making impossible things possible. And there was fun in playing irrespective of whether one won or not. There was also the Wipro idol finals. Mr. Premji and Mr. Kapil Dev honoured the winners.
