HYDERABAD : Power consumers in the country can be sure about the specification markings made by manufacturing companies on the compact fluorescent lights (CFL) from February 22. From that day, the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Union Ministry of Energy, will certify the labels and standards marked on these lights, which are energy-efficient. "Once the label is certified by the Bureau, the consumer can be sure about the energy efficiency of the CLP claimed by the manufacturing companies," said Ajay Mathur, director-general of BEE, at a conference on solar energy here on Saturday.
