Sasikiran posts second win

NEW DELHI: Joint top seed K. Sasikiran showed signs of returning to form with a second straight victory even as fifth seed P. Hari Krishna's search for win continued after four rounds of the Aeroflot Open chess tournament in Moscow on Saturday.

Playing black, Sasikiran stopped Russia GM Sergej Dyachkov in 30 moves and reached 2.5 points. Russia's Evgeny Tomashevsky (4) also won with black pieces against Ukraine's Alexander Areshchenko to retain the lead.

Harika loses

D. Harika's unbeaten streak ended following her 39-move loss to Ukraine's Zahar Efimenko while Parimarjan Negi went down in 63 moves against this year's Corus `C' runner-up Russia's Ian Nepomniachtchi.

In Group `B', where seven of the eight Indians emerged victorious, youngster Arun Karthik shared the lead with three others at 4.5 points.
