Sydney: A doctor of Indian origin, who was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in 1998, has gone on leave from a New South Wales hospital after a probe into suspicious deaths of two patients, says a report.

A 99-year-old woman and a 72-year-old man died in the past week at the Tocumwal Hospital on the NSW-Victorian border. Balaji Rao, the hospital's only local doctor, confirmed to The Weekend Australian on Friday he had taken leave until the police investigation is over.. — PTI
