I will not resign, says SEC
Special Correspondent
CHENNAI:
State Election Commissioner D. Chandrasekaran on Sunday rejected the demand made by political parties for his resignation.
"Why should I resign?" he shot back, when asked for his reaction. "I am a constitutional authority. We intend to go on appeal against the High Court judgment," the Commissioner said.
His responses came in the context of the demand made by the parties following the Madras High Court passing strictures against the Commissioner for violence in the October 2006 polls in city.
