HYDERABAD: A meeting of the State office-bearers and important leaders of BJP has been convened here on Monday to decide the party's stand in the ensuing elections to the Legislative Council. They would again meet in the evening the same day to finalise the shape for the separate Telangana movement, BJP State president B. Dattatreya and senior leader Ch. Vidyasagar Rao told reporters here on Sunday. They said the outcome of the meetings would be conveyed to the national leadership of BJP. The leaders said the moves by Congress and TRS to forge an alliance for the Council elections were borne out of political opportunism. It was unfortunate that the TRS was tying up with Congress though the latter was consistently opposed to separate Telangana. Karimnagar Staff Reporter writes: senior BJP leader M. Venkaiah Naidu has said that they will bring pressure on the UPA Government on the formation of Telangana during the budget session in Parliament. Talking to newsmen here on Sunday, he charged the Congress with misleading people of Telangana. He said the Congress had earlier talked about evolving consensus on Telangana and now was talking about formation of second SRC. He said the BJP would chalk out strategies at a meeting in Delhi with senior party leaders. Earlier, he participated in a meeting to launch the campaign for Council elections and candidature of Karimnagar graduates' constituency P. Venkataramana Reddy.
