Bangalore: Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy on Sunday paid a surprise visit to Ramanagaram constituency, which he represents in the Legislative Assembly. Minister for Public Works and Energy H.D. Revanna accompanied him. In a day-long exercise, the Chief Minister inspected several development works taken up in the constituency, including construction of a multi-storeyed office complex to house all government offices in one building. The Government is spending Rs. 30 crore on the building located on the Bangalore-Mysore highway. The building is scheduled to be ready early next year. Thereafter, Mr. Kumaraswamy inspected the construction of the proposed medical college at Kempe Gowdana Doddi located about 3 km from Ramanagaram town. The other major buildings under construction in the village are a nursing college, a sports village, a global apparel complex and an information technology park. The Chief Minister also inspected the engineering college building under construction at Basavapura village apart from a rail under bridge. Thereafter, the Chief Minister and the Public Works Minister held discussions with officials.
