IMFL bottles seized, one held

CHENNAI : Police arrested one person on charges of illegally storing 900 Indian Made Foreign Liquor bottles.

On a tip-off, the police searched a private building on Wall Tax road and found the liquor bottles clandestinely stocked in gunny bags.

Investigations revealed that Rajendran (31), who has been working as a ward boy in the Government General Hospital, had allegedly planned to sell the liquor bottles at a premium since IMFL retail outlets remained closed for polling on Sunday.

Based on his confession, the Flower Bazaar police registered a case and seized the goods.

Further investigation is on.
