CHENNAI: Chemfluence '07, the annual national level students' technical festival of the Department of Chemical Engineering, Anna University, will be held from February 21-24 at the A.C. College of Technology in Guindy, Chennai. It is not a mere paper presentation contest. Chemfluence, unlike in the past, is a full-fledged technical festival incorporating a range of modelling, design and simulation events, as well as a number of on-the-spot events, organisers say. Highlights of the fest are Revelations, a series of lectures by guests from institutions abroad and leading Indian industries and a workshop on ASPEN Plus, the popular process simulation software. In addition, the presence of persons such as Dr. Sukumar Devotta, Director, National Environmental Engineering Research Institute, Nagpur, and Dr. Baldev Raj, Director, IGCAR, Kalpakkam, among others, will add distinction to the event. For more details on events and fixtures, visit www.chemfluence.org or call 044-64547677 and (0) 9841583511. With students participating from reputed institutions across the country, Chemfluence promises to be a truly national occasion with the support of several sponsors, foremost among them being SRF Ltd.
