RBI Governor delivers OU alumni lecture

HYDERABAD: Reserve Bank of India Governor Y. Venugopal Reddy on Sunday delivered the first annual lecture of Alumni Association of Osmania University.

Dr. Reddy chose the theme of `Understanding happiness' and threw light on the multidimensionality and multi-disciplinary perspectives on the subject, explaining economic, social, political, psychological and philosophical aspects of happiness.

He said that happiness was both subjective and objective as well as experiential and empirical. He referred to links between happiness and income, family, productivity and work-life balance.

Earlier, P. Venugopal Reddy, Special Officer, Alumni Association, introduced the guest speaker and presented a report on the activities of the association. Mohd. Suleman Siddiqui, Vice-Chancellor, Osmania University, presided.
