Karaikal lawyers boycott courts

KARAIKAL: Work in courts in Karaikal region in the Union Territory of Puducherry was disrupted following the weeklong boycott of courts by the lawyers that began on Monday. All the members of the Karaikal Bar Association also commenced fast demanding the Puducherry Government to fill up the posts of district munsifs in Karaikal that remained vacant for the past two years and fulfill their long pending demands. R.Thambiraj, president of Bar Association, Karaikal, presided over the fast on Monday.
