Manigandan wins
S.S. Manigandan and R. Preethi, both from Dolphin Matriculation HSS, won the boys' and girls' under-17 titles respectively in the State-level open chess tournament, organised by Madurai District Chess Association at Madurai on Sunday. The winners: Boys: U-17: S.S. Manigandan; U-14: C. Sundara Rajan (Lakshmi MHSS); U-12: G. Yogesh (SEV); U-10: R.S. Sivaa Shaanth Suman (Maharishi); U-8: A. Visweshvar (IDA Scudder School, Vellore).
