Rajasthan varsity bags first prize

JAIPUR: Rajasthan Agriculture University bagged the first prize in the West Zone Science Fair and Exhibition organised jointly by the Central Government's Agriculture and Cooperative Department and the National Soyabean Research Centre recently.

New varieties of cereals, pulses, oilseeds and vegetables developed by the university scientists were displayed at the exhibition. A "total nutrition brick'' developed by the Bikaner Veterinary College as fodder for the livestock was a centre of attraction at the event. Eight States and Union Territories participated in the fair held from February 15 to 17. The Union Minister of State for Agriculture Kantilal Bhuria, gave away a trophy.
