JAIPUR: The Rajasthan Government proposes to provide funds for construction of prosecution buildings adjacent to courts at all district and divisional headquarters in the State in the next two years if the municipal bodies, Urban Improvement Trusts (UITs) and lawyers extend their cooperation to the initiative. State Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria, laying the foundation stone for the first "Abhiyojan Bhavan'' in Ajmer on Monday, said the construction of these buildings would provide basic facilities to the litigants and help the prosecution officers in speedy disposal of work. The building in Ajmer will be constructed at a cost of Rs. 24 lakhs. Mr. Kataria said the State Government had taken several measures for smooth functioning of courts and introduced a case officer arrangement in the police stations for rendering assistance to courts during the trial. The Director of the Prosecution Department, Gopesh Chandra Dikshit, said the three-floor Abhiyojan Bhavan in Ajmer would be constructed in an area measuring 84.40 sq. metres.
