Fired Up shines

Mumbai: Fired Up and Simply Smashing shone when the horses were exercised here on Monday morning (Feb. 19).

Outer sand:

800m: Shayara (Merchant), Crystal Gazing (Dashrath) 51, 600/38.5. They were urged and finished level. Lascivious (Neeraj), Cosmos (Aadesh) and Spade Of Ace (P. S. Chouhan) 53.5, 600/41. Trio moved level freely. Acton Town (S. Chinoy), Catalunya (S. N. Chavan) 50, 600/38. Former finished six lengths ahead. They were pushed. Phi (Aadesh) 51, 600/38. Pressed. Gypsy's Advise (rb), Queens Court (S. Chinoy) 51.5, 600/39. They moved level freely. Hector (N. Alam), Sir Ernest (Baandal) 52.5, 600/40. Both were pushed and former finished five lengths ahead. Louisville (Merchant), Walking Tall (Pradeep) 53.5, 600/40. They moved freely.

1,000m: Lunar Queen (Rupesh) 1-7.5, 600/41. Moved freely. Fall Of The Hammer (D. K. Ashish) 1-5, 600/38. Moved well. Nanjing (Aadesh) 1-7, 600/38.5. Shaped well.

1,200m: Elusive Trust (Rupesh), Sparta (Kharadi) 1-20.5, 600/40. They were urged and ended level. Simply Smashing (Kharadi), Naval Academy (Pradeep) 1-18.5, 600/40. Former started two lengths behind and finished level. Former responded well. Celestrella (McCullagh) 1-25.5, 600/43. Easy.

1,400m: Royal Princess (McCullagh) 1-38, 600/40. Moved fluently. Asiatique (McCullagh) 1-36.5, 600/42.5.

Inner sand:

1,600m: Master Planner (McCullagh), Intimacy (Ikram) 1-58, 800/58, 600/42.5. Both were easy.

Gate practice (Outer sand):

1,000m: Zarzaitine (Kotwal), Minha Carina (V. Kadam), Sumertime Promise (I. Shaikh) and Ming (Aadesh) 1-9.5, 600/42. They jumped out well. Fired Up (Aslam Kader), Habat (Hamir) 1-5, 600/39. Former moved well and finished distance ahead. Pride (C. Rajendra), Gobelin (Pereira) and Mischiefinhiseyes (Kharadi) 1-6.5, 600/41. They moved level freely.

Race track — Feb. 18:

1,000m: Catalyst (Neeraj), Puissant (Merchant), Flo Nightingale (C. S. Jodha) and Whisky Bandit (N. Jodha) 1-00, 600/35. Catalyst finished three lengths ahead of Puissant, who further finished four lengths ahead of others. Catalyst and Puissant moved well.

Mock race (Race track):

1,200m: Silver Tern (D. K. Ashish), Masterpiece (Riyaz) 1-18, 600/43.5. Silver Tern won by three lengths.
