THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Air Marshal P.S. Ahluwalia has taken over as Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Western Air Command, New Delhi. Prior to this appointment, he was Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of HQ Southern Air Command, Akkulam, Thiruvananthapuram. Commissioned into Indian Air Force as fighter pilot in 1968, he graduated from National Defence Academy, Defence Service Staff College and National Defence College. An all-purpose flying instructor, he has flown various types of aircraft and also served as Air Adviser to the Chief of Air Staff. He has been decorated with commendations by the Chief of Army Staff and the Chief of Naval Staff for most exceptional and distinguished service.
