Aurobindo Pharma gets nod for making Lisinopril

HYDERABAD : The Medicines Control Council of South Africa has granted authorisation to Aurobindo Pharma to participate in the key segment of the medicine market by manufacturing Lisinopril tablets in 5 mg, 10 mg, and 20 mg strengths. Lisinopril is the generic version of Zestril marketed by Zeneca. The drug, used often in the management of hypertension, commands a market value of $27 million, says a release.
