Mumbai: Sporting the brand new sky blue India colours at the launch of Nike's new national kit for one-day internationals, and for the ICC World Cup in particular, India skipper Rahul Dravid said he's relieved that the much-awaited event is upon him and the team. "The World Cup was the topic of debate in the last 12 months. Now the competition is a few days away and the Indian team has been announced. Now it's time to go to the West Indies and put up performances. Playing in such a big tournament is a great opportunity. It's not something to be fearful about. It's something you think about when you're a one-day cricketer, as this tournament is as big as it gets.''
Dream come true
Further describing his 11-year-old career, Dravid said: "For a kid growing up in India it's obviously a dream to play for India. When you start playing cricket it's obviously as a hobby, as something you enjoy doing. It's a dream come true to go on and play for your country for eleven years with and against the best in the world.'' Talking of captaincy he said that there are definitely more headaches when you're captain than when you're just a player in the team. "Sachin (Tendulkar) and Sourav (Ganguly) will agree with me on that I'm sure.''
