A report "Hypersonic reusable missile next: Pillai" (February 16, 2007) stated that Mach is the speed of sound, leading to a query. The Oxford English Dictionary states that Mach (also Mach number) (noun) is the ratio of the speed of a body to the sound in the surrounding medium. It is often used with a numeral (as Mach 1, Mach 2, etc) to indicate the speed of sound, twice the speed of sound, etc.

A report "Kiwis seal series after record chase" ("Sport", February 19, 2007) should have stated that the New Zealanders needed 109 runs more to win after Ross Taylor's departure, and not 119 runs as was published.

In a report "Coimbatore identified as ODI centre", which was published in some editions ("Sport", February 19, 2007), the expansion of ICC should have been the International Cricket Council, and not the International Cricket Conference as was published.
