Assigned lands in A.P. to be regularised

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Government has decided to regularise the occupation of assigned lands in the notified urban areas in all cases of individuals who have constructed buildings for dwelling purpose.

Industries, and educational institutions in the notified urban agglomerations will also receive this benefit. Assigned lands in the rural areas occupied by others will not be regularised. They will be taken over and re-allotted to original assignees. This decision was taken by Chief Minister Rajasekhara Reddy here on Tuesday. He said draft guidelines for regularising the assigned lands had been prepared by a panel headed by the Chief Secretary.
