Rs. 27.63 crore for sewerage project
An official release here said the project was part of the sewerage schemes to be taken up at 18 district headquarters at a total cost of Rs.801.50 crore during 2006-2007, as announced by Minister for Local Administration M.K.Stalin in the Assembly. In the project to be executed in Villupuram by the Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board, 84.52 km sewer pipes would be laid to collect the sewage. Modern technology would be adopted to treat the sewage. The treated water would be used for irrigation, the release added. Special Correspondent
