HYDERABAD: The BJP on Tuesday said the budget would not receive people's support as it had let them down. Party spokespersons Rajeswara Rao and C. Sambamurthy said at a press conference here that the budget had neglected the weaker sections. They said the Government had failed to address public issues highlighted by the political parties in the last six months. To protest against the Government's `negligent' attitude, the party would organise a `Chalo Assembly' rally on March 5 to highlight people's sufferings, they said.
Mere jugglery: Bandaru
KURNOOL: Meanwhile, party president Bandaru Dattatreya said the budget was a `jugglery with numbers.' Talking to reporters here, he said though a lion's share was allocated for irrigation sector, most of the amount would land in contractors' hands in the name of mobilisation advance. He accused the Government of neglecting the agriculture sector by reducing the allocation to 2.33 per cent from last year's 3.01 per cent.
