The total Central allocation for the State in 2006-07 was Rs.1,597.85 crores. Thirteen districts were covered under NREGA and the State received Rs. 938.05 crores from the Ministry. As many as 49.26 lakh job cards had been issued and 17.88 lakh households provided employment. For the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Rs. 1,096 crores had been released and Rs. 1,012 crores spent. As far as SGRY was concerned, of the Central share of Rs. 109.04 crores, Rs. 65.40 crores had been released.
