TIRUPATI: A four-day training-cum-field visit programme being organised by the IFFCO for farmers of Chittoor, Anantapur, Kurnool, Nellore and Prakasam districts got off to a lively start at the Regional Agricultural Research Station (RARS), Tirupati, on Tuesday. The programme exposed the farmers to latest developments in agriculture technology, fertilizer and pesticide use and emerging marketing trends. Associate Director of Research, RARS, P.V. Reddy advised them to avoid indiscriminate use of fertilizers under the notion that it would result in increased output. The farmers also had an interactive session with Mr. P.V. Reddy and other scientists at the programme.
