KOZHIKODE: Triumphant Institute of Management Education (T.I.M.E.), in association with The Hindu-Educationplus, will organise a scholarship test for students of Classes VII, VIII and IX on Saturday. The test will be held at Chinmaya Vidyalaya here. This test is designed to assess the students' understanding of concepts in mathematics, physics and chemistry as well as their analytical skills. The first prize for each class will be a cash reward of Rs.5,000, second prize Rs.3,000 and the third prize Rs.2,000, apart from free books and scholarships for other high performers. The scholarship test is being conducted in 15 cities across India and is aimed at encouraging students to apply the concepts that they learn at school. T.I.M.E would also organise a seminar for parents on `career options' for effective child development. Those interested should register their names at any of the T.I.M.E offices. Registration fee is Rs.50. Details can be had over phone at 0495-2721239/2725862. Those who wish to make spot registration should report at the venue by 9 a.m. on Saturday.
