ALAPPUZHA: Indian Oil Corporation will sign an agreement with the State-owned Supplyco to open outlets of the latter at the IOC pumps in the State. The agreement will be signed in Ernakulam on Wednesday. Speaking to The Hindu at Haripad, IOC director (marketing) G.C. Daga, who will sign the agreement with the Supplyco, said the move was a part of the IOC's initiatives to modernise and introduce innovations at retail marketing centres. Mr. Duggal was in Haripad to inaugurate an auto gas station of the IOC. Supplyco officials said the aim was not only to attract motorists but also those who lived in vicinity to the outlets. Mr. Daga said the IOC had already signed agreements with Western Union Money Transfer and Vegetable and Fruit Promotion Council of Kerala to open their outlets at its petrol pumps in the State. Mr. Daga said the IOC planned to raise the number of auto gas stations in the State to 20. N. Sreekumar, general manager, Corporate Communication and Branding, IOC, said his company had become the leader in branded petroleum products.
