`Brahmakalashotsava' from today

The festivities at the kshetra's renovated shrine will go on for five days


  • Shrine renovated at cost of around Rs. 60 lakh
  • Religious, cultural programmes to be held on all days

    MANGALORE: The Sri Ullalthi Dharma Arasara Kshetra, Ulliya, at Ullal near here, is all geared up for the "Brahmakalashotsava" festivities at the renovated shrine of its presiding deity for five days from Wednesday. The kshetra is nearly 800 years old. President of the Brahmakalashotsava Samiti Kadri Navaneeth Shetty told presspersons here that people from Ullal and surrounding areas would take part in a "Haseeruvani horaekanike" procession on Thursday to present their offerings for the "Annasantharpane" that would be held on Sunday.
