KOCHI: JSS leader and former Minister K.R. Gouri has said the land reforms in Kerala have not fully achieved their goals. At a seminar on land reforms organised by the Adivasi Gothra Maha Sabha here on Tuesday, she said that the Communists had boasted of the land reforms as a great achievement of their rule in the State. But the fact was that the measure had not achieved its intended goal. One major outcome of the reforms was the landlessness of Adivasis. The reforms had its worst impact on the Adivasi community, Ms. Gouri, who was part of the land reform legislation enacted by the EMS Government, said. She said the CPI(M) was trying to split the Adivasi community by using the Aralam Farm agitation. Ms. Gouri said the LDF Government had failed to check price rise.
