HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Agricultural Workers' Union has urged the Government to give up its plans of regularising the assigned lands illegally held by the rich and to take over such lands. In a letter to Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy on Wednesday, B. Venkat, general secretary of the union, suggested that the Government first take possession of all the assigned lands and keep in abeyance the move to regularise them in favour of the occupants. He wanted all assigned lands to be distributed to the people, except those in possession of the poor and middle classes.
