Development will be our poll plank: Congress

Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI: The Congress on Wednesday said the party would approach the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections on the plank of development and secularism and expressed confidence that it would put up an "outstanding performance."

Party spokesperson Jayanti Natarajan said the Congress would highlight the deficiencies of the Mulayam Singh Government and the deteriorating law and order situation in the State.

She said the Samajwadi Party's decision to withdraw support was an expected action.
