Airtel Super Singer Junior contest

Staff Reporter

CHENNAI: The search for the next Super Singer is all set to begin this week on Vijay TV. Except this time, the competition is for children.

Those interested in participating in the Airtel Super Singer Junior contest can record their voices in three booths, to be kept at various vantage points in the city — Abirami Mega Mall, Kilpauk; Beach Castle at Besant Nagar and Chettinad Vidhyashram.

Airtel subscribers can call 6464 from their mobile and record their child's voice.

Jury review

A jury will screen these entries.

Short-listed candidates will be called for auditions on February 24 at Mayor Ramanathan Chettiar Centre, MRC Nagar. Ravinath Menon, general manager, Vijay TV, said: "It is definitely more appealing as parents are equally involved from start to finish." The show will be aired on Vijay TV on Saturday.

Prize money

The Airtel Super Singer Junior will ultimately win a prize money of Rs.5 lakh.
