KOLKATA: "Sourav (Ganguly) and I share one thing in common. When we play for India we play with a lot of passion. Some people may question our approach and application but none can question our passion while playing for India,'' said Sunil Gavaskar, one of the greatest batsmen. "We are both born in July (Ganguly on 8th and Gavaskar on 10th), we have initials SG and both captained India, he with a better record. After Pankaj Roy, none from Bengal has served India better than Ganguly. He has inspired a generation of cricketers in Bengal and I hope more cricketers from this State will play for India in future,'' he said during the launch of a book, Sourav Ganguly, the Maharaja of Cricket by Debasish Datta of Aajkal.
