Mylarappa denies remarks

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: Refuting reports that he had made certain remarks against Governor T.N. Chaturvedi, B.C. Mylarappa, Director of Distance Education, Bangalore University, has stated that he has the greatest respect for Mr. Chaturvedi.

In a letter addressed to the Principal Secretary to the Governor, he described the Governor as "a learned man, and we are all proud of him in the State."

A TV channel had shown Mr. Mylarappa referring to Mr. Chaturvedi in the singular, prompting the latter to ask for a CD of the programme telecast by the channel.
