Manish Kumar scalps five

TIRUCHI: Manish Kumar Chowdhry took five wickets as NIT defeated Ponnagar CC by 141 runs in a Tiruchi DCA first division league match here.

The results: First division: Map CC 146 in 41.3 overs (J. Ibram Sha four for seven) lost to Customs & Central Excise 147 for seven in 27.5 overs (J. Arun Prasad 53); Golden XI CC 187 for nine in 39 overs bt Supersonic CC 130 in 36.2 overs; NIT 220 in 41.5 overs (A. Vignesh Naga 55, A.P. Giridhar 52, J. Viswanath 40, S. Sri Sankar four for 32) bt Ponnagar CC 79 in 31 overs (Manish Kumar Chowdhry five for 36, Asiman Kumar four for 20).

Second division: Golden Chariot CC `A' 154 for eight in 37 overs bt Jaguar CC 50 in 17.3 overs (R. Ganesh four for 27, Sabesan four for 16).

Fourth division: Kaveri CC 150 for nine in 30 overs (L. Krishna Kumar 65) bt Manachanallur Junior `B' 127 for nine in 28.2 overs (Venkatakrishnan four for 24).
