Congress candidate, others file nominations

KADAPA: Congress in-charge of Kamalapuram constituency Putha Narasimha Reddy filed his nomination papers as Congress MLC candidate for Kadapa local bodies constituency before Kadapa Joint Collector Kanthilal Dande on Thursday.

Mr. Narasimha Reddy, ZP Chairperson D. Jyothi Reddy, Kadapa Mayor P. Ravindranath Reddy, DCC president A. Amarnath Reddy and city Congress president T. Sivasankar led a massive rally from Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy's guesthouse to the Collectorate for the filing of nomination. The MLC candidate's wife Saralamma, son Krishna Chaitanya Reddy, daughter and relatives were present. People of Yerraguntla, Kamalapuram, Pendlimarry, Vallur and Kadapa also participated.

Meanwhile, A. Mallikarjuna, K. Raghunath Reddy, P. Khasim Khan, P. Sharif Khan, G. Yella Reddy, V. Ajay Kumar and TDP candidate M. Venkata Siva Reddy of Kadapa district filed nominations for Rayalaseema West graduates constituency at Anantapur. B. Subba Reddy and K. Venkatapathi Reddy filed papers for teachers' constituency.
