Younus College to host NSS meet

KOLLAM: This year's State annual meet and presentation of the Directorate level awards of the National Service Scheme (NSS) is being hosted by the Younus College of Engineering and Technology at Pallimukku here on February 24.

The meet will be inaugurated by A.A. Aziz, MLA. The function will be presided over by Chairman of the Fathima Memorial Education Trust A. Younus Kunju.

On the occasion, the NSS awards for outstanding NSS volunteers from engineering and polytechnic colleges will be presented by Director of Technical Education S.K. Mohan. NSS State liaison officer P. Alassan Kutty and Youth Officer of the NSS Regional Centre, Thiruvananthapuram, G.P. Sajith Babu will address.

Coordinator of NSS Training and Orientation I.V. Soman will deliver the keynote address.

More than 500 NSS volunteers and over 100 NSS programme officers from the various engineering colleges in the State will be attending the event. A photo exhibition on the various activities of the NSS have also been arranged at the venue. Seminars and cultural programmes have also been organised.
