KHAMMAM: Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Congress nominee for the Khammam local authorities constituency filed the nomination here on Thursday. Minister for Municipal Administration Koneru Ranga Rao and all Congress MLAs from the district took part in the rally organised on the occasion. Later, speaking to newsmen, the Minister said that the Congress would fare well in the elections to the council. He said Khammam was one of the strongholds of the Congress and Mr. Bhatti would win the seat hands down. He said the family of Bhatti Vikramarka enjoyed a strong support base. He said leaders and elected representatives of the party in the district would work to ensure the victory of the party candidates. TDP nominee for the constituency Potla Nageswara Rao also filed his papers.
