Lalu Prasad's assurance on railway projects

CHANDIGARH: Haryana Minister of State for Tourism and Forests Kiran Chaudhary along with Union Company Affairs Minister Prem Chand Gupta called on Railway Minister Lalu Prasad on Thursday and urged him to sanction survey of the Loharu-Bhiwani railway line in the Railway Budget to be presented in Parliament soon.

In a statement here, Ms. Chaudhary said that she had got sanctioned the Bhiwani-Rohtak railway crossing over-bridge No. 53 and Bhiwani-Tosham over-bridge No. 53C. She urged Mr. Prasad to allocate funds for construction of these over-bridges in the Railway Budget.

She also pleaded that the DRV train shuttling between Delhi-Bhiwani be extended up to Haridwar for the benefit of pilgrims. Similarly, the stoppage for Kisan Express be made at Bhiwani city also, she added.

She said the Railway Minister had assured her that these demands would be considered sympathetically.
