Excise revenue up

COIMBATORE: The Central Excise revenue collected by Coimbatore Zone up to January 2007 during this fiscal is Rs. 1,520 crores, up by 9.4 per cent compared to last year. A release from the Central Excise Department said that the revenue collected in the zone during the corresponding period last year was Rs. 1,390 crores. The Department would celebrate central Excise Day here on February 23.
