Thieves broke into a house belonging to one Krishna Reddy and took away six tolas of gold, Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 4,000 worth silver articles at Madhuranagar of Vanasthalipuram on Thursday.
Chain snatched
An unidentified youngster snatched a six-tola gold chain from Yashaswini, 47, a Government employee, while she was walking on the road at Nagarjuna Colony of Saroornagar on Thursday. Later, he and his accomplice sped away on a bike.
Two killed in accident
Two persons were killed when an oncoming lorry knocked down the motorcycle they were travelling on near Thondupally of Shamshabad on Thursday. The victims were identified as Bachan Singh, 41, and Santhan Singh, both residents of Langerhouz.
Murder case solved
The Rajendranagar police on Thursday arrested two persons Mohd. Sadiq and Mohd. Ghouse, for allegedly murdering one Mukthar in Chintal on Tuesday. The two had consumed toddy till late in the night and picked up an argument with the victim over a petty mater. They smashed his head with a boulder and fled the place.
