Wanted man held

Thiruvananthapuram: The police on Friday detained `Pantham' Jayan, 24, an accused in over 22 cases, as part of the ongoing anti-goonda drive. The Circle Inspector, Museum, A.L. Najmulhassan, said security proceeding would be initiated against the youth under the relevant sections of the Criminal Procedure Code. — Staff Reporter

One injured in clash

Thiruvananthapuram: An 18-year-old Congress worker was injured in a clash between United Democratic Front (UDF) workers and Communist Party of India (Marxist) activists at Nandiyode in Nedumangadu on Thursday evening. The injured was identified as Subash.

Traders attacked

Thiruvananthapuram: Two shop owners were injured when an armed gang attacked their establishments at Pathankallu in Nedumangadu on Thursday. The injured were identified as Ansar, 34, and Reji, 28. — Staff Reporter
