KORAPUT: The youth advocates for safe motherhood have taken their initiative to ensure maximum institutional deliveries in Koraput district.
Immunisation

Lakshmi, a pregnant, was eager to give birth to child in her hut rather than going to an institution. After a long session of questionnaire, she replied to the youth. From the experience of her neighbours, she thought that she would also have to pay doctors and other staff if goes to hospital. With no money in hand, she preferred her residence for her delivery. The youth in the village, particularly girls, were united under the leadership of Kamala, a youth advocate for safe motherhood, assured Lakshmi of accompanying to hospital for which she agreed.
