Indian Bank hikes domestic deposit rates

CHENNAI: Indian Bank has hiked the interest rates on domestic term deposits with effect from February 22 to 9 per cent for deposits of over one year for all categories. According to a bank release, deposits of 181 to 365 days will fetch 8.75 per cent and for 91 to 180 days, the rate will be 6.5 per cent. Senior citizens will get additional interest of 0.5 per cent for deposits of less than Rs. 15 lakhs.
