Girish nets winner
Bangalore: Madras Engineering Group (MEG) defeated Postal 1-0 in a Super Division league match here on Friday, with Girish heading the winner in the 48th minute.
In the initial minutes, Postal's Chethan and Srinivasa fired in a few warning volleys but after that MEG dominated but failed to convert it into goals. MEG came out hustling in the second-half, found a corner kick and in the resultant goalmouth melee, Lokeshwar Singh sent in a floater to an unmarked Girish, who promptly headed in.
In an A-division match, Dharmaraja Union defeated AGORC 3-2. Manimaran, Ramesh Kannan and Rajendra scored for the winner while Sashidharan and Rajesh scored for AGORC.
