Chipping in for a cause

KARIMNAGAR: In a humane gesture, local leaders and philanthropists have donated Rs. 21,616 for an educational tour of students of the Government Deaf and Dumb School in Karimnagar town on Friday. Sri Gidde Perumandla swamy devasthanams chairman Venugopal Karwa donated Rs. 10,000, Srisailam devastham temple trust board member Tirupathi Goud contributed Rs. 5,000, a philanthropist Shambhavi donated Rs. 2, 500, Lions club zone chairman Peddi Vidyasagar Rs. 2, 116, Lions club secretary Kola Anna Reddy Rs. 1,000, Lions club district chairman Praveen Chawda Rs. 1,000 to the school, according to a note.

With the help of the philanthropists, the students would be conducting the tour from Monday onwards.
